Brad Bertoch serves as President of VentureCapital.org—a nonprofit, nationally recognized, entrepreneurship organization. He is a leader in equity backed business development, capital formation, and technology commercialization and entrepreneurship. Under his direction, since 2009, Utah companies participating in an Institute venture conference have raised over $10 billion in financial transactions and created or retained over 30,000 jobs in Utah. Brad is a member of SLC and Park City angel groups, and founder of WBI Angels, and was a venture partner with Hamilton Bio-Ventures Fund II. He is currently the manager of Salt Lake County’s $7 million venture debt fund. In addition, he and his team have created venture/commercialization programs in AZ, AL, CA, TX, IL, HI, NY and ID. Brad has served on various Governor’s Task Forces. He is a co-founder and current board member of the MountainWest Capital Network. He also serves on Utah’s SBIR advisory board. He is an Honors graduate of the University of Utah, and holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
